Whatever size, shape or style of your garden, Cosmos strives to provide a personalised experience to ensure you get exactly what you want. And if you aren't sure what you want, allow Veronika to guide you through the process.
Initial Consultation
The first meeting is where I can start to get to know you. You can view some of my recent projects and drawings and I can work out your likes/dislikes, habits, hobbies, budget and so forth. And use this information to produce a design that is appropriate for you. A brief will be taken, these are the rules I will follow when working on your design.
Site Survey
After a design a has been commissioned and we are all on the same wave length, a site survey can be taken. This is quite simply a measure up of your garden, the dimensions taken will then be transferred into the computer and an accurate drawing can be created.
Concept Proposal
Once your vision and my ideas have been put onto paper, (or pixels! 😉 I will then present to you a concept design. Hopefully expanding your thoughts and imagination with various options on the use of your space. As part of this stage I may provide 3D computer generated visuals to illustrate my proposals should the project require this. I may also at this point provide mood-boards to convey the feeling of the design and to use as a tool for discussion on your design. These could be related to materials, planting or overall design intent.
Master Plan & Construction Drawings
Now we agreed agreed on the final design and layout a Master Plan will be drawn. The master plan is the final design from which the garden can be constructed. Depending on your design the Master Plan may come with Construction Drawings, these show a detailed summary of how certain parts (usually hard landscaping) will need to be constructed. The construction drawings may also include layout drawings for ducting, irrigation and electrics as well as a full lighting plan including specifications on fittings. Each project is individual and will have its own requirements.
Planting Plan
Dependent on the project, we provide either a planting mood board and plant list or a detailed planting plan. We personally source and select the plants and lay out the plants on site to ensure a beautiful, individual planting design. The plant list would be developed, incorporating a signature palette of architectural and exotic plants as well as client requests. Plant choice will always be based on site suitability, the nature of the site and the individual design. Where appropriate, mature plants are sourced to give immediate structure and impact.
